The Voice Team, Young Parents and Care Experienced Teams hosted the first drop‑in session for care‑experienced young people in Sandwell who are now parents.
This new session was set up following a request from young people at the end of last year and attendees received a small gift package to take home, with items for both themselves and their babies.
The young parents told us they would like these sessions to run on a regular basis, offering a chance to meet for a friendly chat as well as opportunities for more targeted support – such as financial advice and introductions to partner organisations who can offer additional help.
